  • A wee rotation problem.

What do you do when most of the veg you like to grow best are brassica's?

I am finding it difficult to work out any decent crop rotation system when most of my beds are mixed and there are various brassica types in all of them .Brasicca's are my favorite's and i don't want to cut down on the amount i grow by trying to limit them into just one brassica bed or two but it makes it nigh on impossible to rotate the different groups .
I don't have a lottie, i have a decent size kitchen garden though plus i use pots for carrots and parsnips.

If three quarters of your chosen veg are brassica's , then how do you go about rotating your veg groups?

If i grow all my own from seed the risk of club root is very low.

If you could get your brassica usage down to 50% of your plot space this would mean you would never need follow brassica with brassica.
This would give a two year rotation which is better than none.

      Thanks for the reply Snager!

I was thinking along them lines too. I will just have to work out what brassica's i could sacrifice *sobs* and get a bit more adventurous with the other groups.
