  • A bit of help needed team....

    I was roped into helping my friend up root his garden today...He has 2 lovely apple trees and.....

    after many nettle stings, a broken fork and a broken spade the garden looks something like...so...

    I mangaed to find several rasberry plants growing in a corner....and a small Quince tree...

    I currently have the rasberries (with the roots in water soking before i plants them (been told they are hardy) and....

    As for the quince i only managed to get a length of the root branch!!

    I have this on water too....im hoping it will root and transplant....

    Any hints and tips???

    I'll post some pics in a bit!

      We had a couple of quinces growing in the front garden years ago. I thought I had dug them up/killed them with weed killer but they still seem to come back, so I would imagine yours will grow.
      I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

        Oh, Danmon,

        Bad time of year, in fruit, no feeding roots can't be seen, not looking good, but by Steve's post seems you can hope.

          Try taking some cuttings especially if you can get some softwood ones. Looking at the tree I think you would be hard pushed to get it to grow, but it is always worth a try.
