  • yellow beans and peas

just back from a lovely two weeks in spain with my daughters, went to the allotment today and a lot of my broad beans and peas have started going very pale in colour, almost a yellow shade. Does this mean they ve past it or can they still be used for any dishes to stick in the freezer?

Is it the pods that are going yellow or the leaves?
I think when the plant/leaves goes yellow it's all up and you won't get any more pods, but you can still eat anything that's on there. Dunno about pods going yellow, ours all got et too quick
Warning: I have a dangerous tendency to act like I know what I'm talking about.

I think peas are fairly shallow rooting and because of the amount of foliage transpiring water in hot weather are very susceptable to drying out at the roots.
