My swede are being eaten/broken off at the base.Any ideas.Could it be mice?

Could it be slugs ? I have once had swedes attacked by these blighters and they made a right mess of them, but now I do a nightly patrol. -

At what stage of growth are the swede? If just seedlings a cutworm will go along a row knocking down one or two each evening.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

If you dig a trowel full of earth out directly under the plant they are usually nestled 3 or 4 inches below ground. About 30mm long and a greenish grey, usually curled up. They come to the surface at night.Originally posted by Cloud View Post
