  • Somethings eating my beans, and it's not me!

    Hello,

Something has been eating my beans. It leaves the last centimetre or so on the plant but eats the rest. In some cases the entire shoot, vine or whatever it's called with the flowers on is completely bare with just the little branches where the beans would have been left.

    What is causing this?

    I want my beans back!!

I've seen a couple of snails climbing up the sticks but no slugs up there. They are too busy eating the spring onions and carrots!!

        Snails will definitely eat beans.
I have to grow my beans indoors until they are big enough and strong enough to go outside. If I sow the seeds direct into the soil, the slugs and snails eat the lot.
