Pickling Onions

I am growing some Small Brown pickling onions for the first time.
When do I know to harvest them?Are they like normal onions ie;when the foliage dies dies down or do I dig them up when the bulbs are large enough?

The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested,when you take,some knocks,some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

I've never grown them myself Cloud. Does it give any clue on the seed packet? I would guess they've been bred to be small, so should be ok to leave them to die down...? Unless they're getting bigger than you'd like?
