grow, cauli, grow!!!!

Hiya Gang!!!!!

Am a lil bit worried 'bout my caulis
Theres no heads.. just really leafy, planted them out in 2nd week of June as small seedlings. Should I be seeing heads/something similar...

Any Advice?

hi ya

mine have been out since may and they are only now just getting small heads, thats if the caterpillars, dont get all the leaves first!!!!!!! every day i am picking off and have netting! dreaded things!

Dont worry, the first time I grew winter cauli I had plants standing over three foot tall, loads of leaf and I was thinking that I had overdone it with nitrogen all I am going to get is a load of leaf then one day I spied a little bit of white in there and there it was a lovely cauli,

If you only planted them the second week in June then you have plenty of time for caulies to appear. I thought mine were never coming then suddenly there they were. Caulies a go go. Good luck and get your recipes ready.

My April sown coli's have just got their heads . Then you need to leave them a week or so longer to grow a bit more.

planted mine beginning of june too, theres a stem and a few leaves, all less than a foot high, and most of that has grown in the last week cos we've finally had some sunshine, i'm sure they'll get there eventually.

And Now after posting this thread, guess what a little creamy white heart appears...

And not just one... there's 2!!!!
