One of my psb (Rudoplph) has started to produce spears already. This seems far too early to me. Hope it will survive winter still.

My little seedlings are coming up nicely - now I need to work out where they are going!
The pack says 75cm between plants, is this much space absolutely necessary?? My calabrese I put closer than recommended and they have done brilliantly, are psb the same sort of plant?
I will need an awful lot of space at this rate!
Any suggestions on spacing? (early rudolph and an un-named late psb)
      Tx

PSB are absolutely HUGE plants and wouldn't look out of place at one metre spacing at maturity.
I too am growing Rudolph and I've got mine at about 2 foot apart in old money! (66cm?)

          psb is a calabrese
sounds a lot of space although i've seen all sorts planted "closer than recommended" on allotments - not sure why the need for the recommended space but i'll probably plant a bit closer than that ....

Thank you Snadger, 66 (ish)cm it is then.

Will clear the stones and build some sort of natty netting contraption asap.
