Spent hops advice needed

Hi,
I would like to know what use spent hops have and how can they be incorporated into a compost heap.
Have also noticed wire like creepies in there and the hops going mouldy whilst still in a heap - any thoughts?

Just chop mine into manageable pieces once dry and put them in the compost. Someone else might know more...

I use it as a mulch on the veg beds. Keeps moisture in and weeds down.

If you add it to the compost don't do so in thick layers as I found that it just went mushy and didn't really break down (though that might be that I'm not great at the whole compost turning thing ).

Just my personal experience!
