  • What are these little black 6 legged beasties?

I was out squishing the caterpillars on my sprouts yesterday and noticed that one of the stems was covered in little black beasties, beetle like in shape and had 6 legs. What are they, what can they do and how should I get rid of them?

If it's not caterpillars it's slugs on beasties, sigh.

    Blackfly maybe?

Without a pic or more details (ie size) it's a bit hard.

If there were ants on them too, then it is more likely to be blackfly.

Best way to get rid of them is to quash (rub) them off or use a good organic blackfly/greenfly spray.

Greenflyish in size, had little antennae, black and six legs. Round/oval body shape silmilar to a beetle. Will go out to investigate further when/if the rain goes off.
