    Winter salad type veg?
    Oriental green things?
    Spring onions?
Warning: I have a dangerous tendency to act like I know what I'm talking about.

In my 4 yr John Seymour rotation, it's winter brassicas after peas/beans which you should still be able to buy seedlings of in the garden centre, assuming that it hasn't been overrun with flashing rudolf etc etc.

I always put brassicas in after legumes, but you do say compost so does that mean you were growing in containers? If so I'd think that salad leaves would make an acceptable substitute.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
