MY OH found an old pic on his phone of the bottom half of the garden last year after we'd bought our house and started gutting it. I took another last week of the same view. Not the best as it was chucking it down and the grass needs cut but it was nice to see that we had indeed got somewhere despite losing all the toms and spuds to blight.

Thanks for you lovely comments. At some points this year I've been ready to give up, first year gardening an the weather has really been against us all.

As well as doing the garden, I also had to do the inside, which was a real wreck. It's nice looking back at the photos to see what it was like before we started.

The downstairs loo was, well, basic..

                          After a bit of graft.....

The upstairs bathroom was, erm, tasteful.....

                          Perhaps we shouldn't have bothered.....

I have to show you the sorry little Aga we inherited but unfortunately was past saving..... Sorry to all the Aga fans, I have to confess, I took a sledge hammer to it.

                            and the fancy kitchen.....

After a lot of sore muscles....

Goodness - you've done all that in a year?!
                              That's truly amazing.
                              Well done you!
