I ordered a combo onion pack (jap and none!) about 3 weeks ago. I've just been into my account and it says the order is 'being picked' .... fingers crossed they turn up soon then. I've never tried to overwinter onions before so thought I'd try both types the first time to see which works best on my soil ....
Good luck to all with them!!

I'm not sure how some will feel about buying from an auction site but I was searching online the other night and noticed onion sets were available.

Just a thought for those who need onion sets.

There's a few on Ebay, quite expensive though once you've added the postage.

well my mum got plenty from wyvales today, although for some reason only bought a small amount of shallots , she said they were quite expensive, so I am off to tescos tomorrow to buy some and attempt a trial, sets alongside leftovers.

mum said both wyvales and the farm shop had the japanese ones.

Heard back from Dobies about my order:

"I am pleased to say that we have no problems with the onion sets and indeed they are being sent out this week and next so they will be with you very soon. The garlic is to follow a little later."

(This is for a Autumn Champion & Senshyu Yellow twinpack thingy.)

              Phew

They still seem to be available to order on Suttons website

I have had mine delivered from T&M, and bought some from the GC, seemed to be no shortage of them there either!

Just been to local Blooms (Wyevale)
They have onion sets, shallots, and garlic. Wouldn't say they have mountains of the stuff, it's just on a fairly small display - but they do have it.
