    Can I?

The haulms on my Saxon were looking decidedly dead, so I dug one up today and got some great potatoes. So it's just the tops dying off. They have been in the ground for four months now. But I was wondering how I should store them ones I've dug up today as we are still eating the Charlottes. I also don't want to dig the others up yet, but how long can i leave them in the ground now that the tops have died (bearing in mind that I seem get to get scab!)

    Any advice please? Thanks.

Hi the best thing I have found with my surplus first earlies is to par boil them, toss them in butter and freeze them. they then make superb roasted/sauteed pots. I don't think they store for any length of time in the same way as main crops, but I could be wrong.
