  • Disaster! TPS plea

So I very proudly saved some seeds from my potato fruits the other day and carefully placed the cloth they were drying on in the bathroom out of the way. And my three year old decided to run it under the tap so she could wipe her face on it. Bye-bye seeds. And I don't even have any more fruit I can squish, all gone.

So - pretty please - does anyone have any spare TPS that they wouldn't mind sending me - I *so* wanted to join in the experiment next year! Pretty please? PM me your address and I'll send an SAE?

Oh dear - the pleasures of having young kids - of I remember it well. Now 22 and still a liability!

If you PM me with your address I'll be glad to let you have a sq" of Salad Blue (perhaps 30+ seeds).

Can't help anyone with potato seeds but this is a great example of what I like so much about the GYO forums. Someone needs help with something, someone comes along with help. It's brilliant.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

it's been a real eye-opener to be honest, I have only been on her 2/3 weeks, already I have been swapping like mad, and only have one or two things I still need for next season, and the cool stuff like the exploding cukes and dragonfruits , blue salads et al, well people are just so nice about sharing, makes me feel all gooey, plus it's grand getting mail that is NOT a bill

These won't come true unless they were the only spuds you grew.
Always thank people who have helped you immediately, as they may not be around to thank later.

Salad Blues 'should' be as true as poss as they were the only spud to flower during the essential periods of fruit forming. Granted, some small variations may exist.

Roosters were from other source - so cannot say.

My one remaining Vivaldi which I'm selfishly hanging on to was the sole survivor during some torrential and windy weather - hand pollinated, out of desperation, to get at least one!
