what is the best way to store corn on the cob. i would like if possible to keep it as fresh as i can for my chickens

Freezing them whole works for me, thats for human consumption. I dont boil or blanche them first.just strip the leaves off and into the freezer they go. -

wish i had some corn fields i could 'borrow' some corn from, my corn is still only sa foot high, i'm leaving the only 2 plants i got though, just cos.

do you need to defrost the cobs before cooking? i usually cook mine in the micro had some for lunch today, absolute heaven!Comment

in water i just stick them in boiling water frozen and cook them a bit longer, never tried them in the microwave,Comment
