I've grown the following tomatoes this year as was wondering if any are F1s. I've been collecting seed from them all anyway, but I can prepare myself for some odd results if any are F1. I've done some googling for answers, but would be grateful if all you tomato experts would give me your opinions
From seed
Ildi - Think not F1 judging by price at least
Tigerella - ditto
Sungella - ditto
Purple Russian/Black Prince - found lots of confusion about what these might be when googling. They were from Pennards and marked as Purple Russian (also known as Black prince). However their website only lists Black Russian. Other webistes have all possible combinations of black, purple, russian and prince, so who knows what they're really called. They were very variable with some almost black plum-shaped ones and others that went a sort of mucky brown colour, but were almost heart-shaped with pointy ends. So, I think they're probably not F1s Very nice though
Millefleur - From Realseeds so not F1s
I also got a single plant as part of one of those send-off-for offers from a magazine. It was advertised as Sungold (f1) but was labelled at Tomazing when it came. They are orange sungold colour, but I'm not sure what Tomazing look like - some pictures show them as orange, others more red. They do only seem to be sold as plants though, perhaps that's a clue to F1ness??
Any wisdom gratefully recieved
