Sorry old chap but the only cure is a BBQ, apparently tastes like chicken (corn fed, of course )

I have that CD ROM too Piper. Thanks for reminding me. I haven't looked at it for ages. I got mine from the internet somewhere. Just thought it looked a real wonderland - which is where my daughter says I live anyway .

I'm planning to grow some mini sweetcorn this year (mini mop) and yes, I have the squirrels. They're not usually much of a pest, dig up a few bulbs, pull the heads of yellow roses (only yellow ones - who knows why!) make a nuisance of themselves at the bird feeders, but that's it. Thanks for the warning about the corn. I think I'll need to cage them in some way.

We have loads of grey squirrels at our allotments yet as far as I know no-one including myself were troubled with them eating the sweetcorn.!!
Could be that they had feasted themselves on the chicken feed that had been put out in the numerous hen runs on the lotties!
There is an Oak wood at the bottom of lottie's also and I have often seen 5 or 6 together in the trees. They are big fat ones and would make a decent meal looking at them!!
Hugh fearnley seems to like them, but he also enjoys eating boiled brains of most animals, scooped out with a melon scoop and then deep fried! Crunchy on the outside and nice and creamy on the inside, bit like a squirrel really!!My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
