£1.95 is a bit steep for carriage if you're only buying one packet of seeds though!

As long as you've got the germination temp you would probably get away with any type of carrot seed as carrots are biennial and shouldn't bolt unless they're extremely stressed?

Carrots - root growth is fastest at a temperature between 15 ºC and 18 ºC.

Seeds may germinate at low temperatures but a soil temperature of at least 10 ºC is recommended.

As carrot seed does not keep. perhaps they are just re-packaging this years unsold seed in a way to get extra sales?

So thats why my **&%@@##!! carrots havent grown for the last 5 years. Best I buy some new ones then!!
