Same here I've had to neglect the lottie for a couple of weeks, but when I went yesterday to cut some brocolli, there they were! lovely rows of onions and garlic all standing to attention. I was thrilled to bits
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

I've been planning my rotation and sowing plan. Even that has got me excited

And starting to panic a bit, that I am trying to fit 100 things into a space designed for 50.

We came back from our hols with the same feeling, the onions and garlic have all shot up.

The garlic for my moon trial has only 1 shoot so far, out of 20 planted - but all the others [planted out later than the first trial] are already up and out.

We bought a copy of the Heligan 2008 planting plan when we were away, so I think I'm going to draw out mine just like it - it will entertain me during the cold winter nights no doubt.

I'm getting excited about the thought of being able to burn all the rubbish come 1st Nov. We can burn rubbish at the allotments from Nov to April ...................trouble is, I've got loads of rubbish to burn but nowhere to burn it as all the beds ae planted up!
Terrible when you've got to pull growing plants out to give an area to burn rubbish!

I have a cunning plan though..........I'm going to build a breazeblock cold frame to be used as a rubbish burning pit............ then when I'm finished, clean it out put a glass light over the frame and hey presto..........a cold frame!
