Has anyone tried storing potatoes in sand? My OH goes on about it alot (being Irish from somewhere down the line). But didn't think anyone did it now. But I could be wrong ..................~

Hi I got large paper sacks (25kg) sort from Stacks(I think it is) the countryside store for about 30p each last year. I know there is one in Romsey and one in Winchester. I think they are a south of England outfit so you may have one near you. Will check the name and let you know. The paper sacks have worked fine for me.Bright Blessings

Hi again. Have just checked. It was Scats Countryside store and there is one in Chuchfields Road in Salisbury according to their website.

They also stock lots of other stuff for smallholdings/country life pursuits.Bright Blessings
