Some lucky people have Potato Fairs near them, where you can buy all different kinds in large or small quantities; have a Google.
I believe some companies charge more than others. Can't remember which one (T&M, Dobies?) but I'm sure there is one that only charges 95p for postage even if you buy spuds. Maybe that was garlic though.

Ah - it was Dobies, and it was garlic. They charge £3.95 p&P for spuds, which is probably only worth it if you are getting loads or if you specially want a variety not available in the GC

T&M charge the same, I think, although their website is confusing! (Possibly another instance of the "helpful example" gone wrong?)
Orders for packets of seed incur a P&P charge of £1.99.
Orders which include any other products will incur a P&P charge of £3.95.
So, where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products a maximum P&P charge of £5.94 will apply.
Warning: I have a dangerous tendency to act like I know what I'm talking about.
