    i have sown peas into guttering in the greenhouse on 26th of oct. when should i expect to see them breaking the surface.

    Mine took about 10 days, but then I did sow them much earlier than you (September), so reduced daylight might be a factor. Maybe one of them expert types wil reply with a better answer!

      I sowed peas outside end of September - no sign yet. I wasn't worried, as they're outdoors - should they be showing willing by now?

        Should have added that mine were sown in the greenhouse, so much warmer.

          I sowed mine on 31 october, there was no sign of them when I checked yesterday. They are inside a plastic propagator inside a plastic greenhouse (all unheated) so not warm but better than outdoors. Have patience, hopefully something good will happen soon.

          Oh - unless the mice get them?!
          Warning: I have a dangerous tendency to act like I know what I'm talking about.

            i sowed mine [meteor peas] about 3 weeks ago and there is nothing yet,
            there outside, dont know if i should put them into the greenhouse or not
