I've obtained some wild garlic seed but do not have a clue how to germinate it. Is it treated like onion seed ? Any advice will be most appreciated.

Brilliant - where dd you get it?
There was a thread on here recently (well not that recently actually but this year lol) but I can't remember whether it was about germination - have you done a search? I imagine it's much the same as onions, chives etc.
Do let us know how you get on!Warning: I have a dangerous tendency to act like I know what I'm talking about.

I Googled for you:
Sow seeds as soon as they ripe, either in situ or in a cold frame. Usually Wild Garlic sets seed profusely and germinates well. About wildflowers: Wild GarlicAll gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

Was it this thread?

I should try sticking the seeds in the fridge for a while before planting and scatter them I/2 in proposed position direct and half in a pot left in similar shady site.
still think it is easier to go out and pick some each year!
