Filling containers with compost

Hey, so I am thinking of filling my containers and baskets in advance of putting things out in a few weeks - would there be any detriment to doing it now (ie would it harm the nutritional value of the compost if sat for a couple of weeks out in the containers?)
The reason being I would like to make sure I can comfortably fill all containers and go buy more if needed ready for planting out.

If you get significant rainfall then it may wash nutrients out of the compost, but other than that there is no harm in doing it. Maybe cover the containers with lids or plastic sheets of some sort to keep the rain out?
