My eyesight is not the best...

My thought would be slugs or snails, but to be fair, they're are my main suspects for every leaf munching crime!
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

      No trails visible.
      Nothing else is suffering.

It could be caterpillars, if you have little holes in the leaves and not just leaves being randomly munched, they are teeny to start with.

Looks like caterpillar damage to me.

I'd be almost certain that's slug or snail damage. They don't always leave a trail. In fact I find they usually don't.

The slug/snail will be back tonight for more, you could go out with a torch when it’s dark or as it’s undercover you can put a thin circle of sand around the plants, they won’t cross the sand.

It was tiny little slug/snail things, about 1cm long with two horns!
When I went out with the torch it showed up the trails.
                  Thanks all.
