Awful isn't it.. still very laggy on IOS, Android and Windows machines I use.

Hopefully patience will pay off and some fixes will be implmented. Must be bad as I'm spending time on Gardeners World

I have found it faster late at night.
This is usually a hosting company problem especially if it gets faster at night.

I've found that, too. And, yeah, I'm thinking it's server issues.

I think the issue was likely that the previous version of the forum software was at/past "End of Life" so no longer getting security updates etc. so becoming an increasing security risk.

There does appear to be an ongoing issue with performance, but that was also the case on the old version and comes and goes.

I must admit the performance (under safari at least) is not very good. Perhaps there's too much data and it needs a clearout of old entries in the fora (forums?). I wish them luck in improving the performance.

Yes I find this with other sites. The update for the Met office made a good format much worse. It used to give all the info I wanted on one screen, not now though. and there is no new data so why did they do it? Same with this. It is the performance issue that is the problem. no other site I visit is so bad. I will probably com back occasionally to see if it is fixed but can't be doing with it on a regular basis.

They should fix the performance as that is most critical to users. I worked in IT for 40+ years and that was my first concern above all else.
The the upgrade itself should be done on a test site and any bugs ironed out there before going live.

Also loads of posts seem to have disappeared. None of Two Sheds posts seem to be there and he had made loads of bean recipes among lots of other info. available that were really good. Are they likely to be back? Does anyone have copies?

I hope you're right. At the moment it's even slower than the slowest I experienced on the old site. This thread took over 50 seconds to load on Chrome (at the 4th attempt).
