  • Parsnip White Gem

I planted my packet of parsnip white gem in a raised bed. I'm struggling to find online what the seedlings look like to make sure I don't weed them out. Has anyone got photos of the white gem seedlings? I did try the search function, but nothing came up for parsnips. This is what is coming up, doesn't look like a weed, doesn't look like google search parsnip seedling either.

I don't know what that is, probably a weed/wild flower, very pretty leaves though. It's not a parsnip, parsnips can be slow to germinate. I still haven't sown my parsnips, late again...
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

lol, I'll leave it in for now and see what appears later. The cat has taken to incubate (sleep on) the parsnip bed, so I'm not sure anything will come up.

If you Google for parsnip seedling picture, you get quite a few hits. Sorry, but I agree with peanut, that's not a parsnip seedling.

White gem parsnips sown 16th April. Some I had leftover so I sown then in a bucket.

          Hope this helps.

Thank you very much everyone. I'll leave it be until the parsnips (fingers crossed) make an appearance. Now I know what I'm looking for

One parsnip seedling appeared during the day today! So excited. Frilly seedling is still there, could it be a carrot?

Yay for your parsnip! (still haven't sown mine). I don't think the foliage looks fine enough to be a carrot. You're going to have to let us know what it is when it finally reveals itself!

Definitely not a carrot. Pretty certain it's not any sort of umbellifer, actually.
It looks rather like a Marguerite or annual "chrysanthemum" (they're not true chrysanthemums) seedling, actually.
Take some more pictures as it grows, and hopefully it will become more obvious what it is.
