Here's my dilemma. I can put the poles for my very healthy bean plants into the raised bed, but I can't tie them into a wigwam, my son usually does this for me. I can't reach and I can't climb, what can I do?

As burnie said tie the canes at one end by looping the string round each individual cane then tie off the ends to make a circle as tight as you think you needit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I no longer tie the tops of my bean canes, whether in a circle or in a row. I push them into the ground vertically, not at an angle as you do to tie them. If they are pushed firmly into the ground they stay upright, and as the beans twine around they mutually support each other.Last edited by mothhawk; 18-05-2020, 08:42 AM.Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
