Not a lot of time today either. Forgot to add that I trimmed and thinned out the strawberry plants at the allotment on Saturday. Planted some calendula seedlings that have been lurking in the growhouse today and harvested leeks, carrots and kohlrabi.
I don't expect to be able to do any gardening tomorrow as it is forecast to rain heavily most of the day.

Nothing yesterday except harvesting a carrot, mainly due to people who say they will come and then don't turn up, wasting the whole morning.

Monday jobs
Check allotment for wind damage - done
Sow peas for pea shoots - done
Harvest lettuce, salad leaves, carrots - done plus a leek and a kohlrabi
Also raked the gravel on the drive to fill in a dip where I get out of the car as it was making quite a deep puddle and moved some lettuces out of the greenhouse as they were showing signs of thrip damage.

Thanks Bren, it is! The back garden path has been under water for ages now and is starting to smell like a stagnant pond. There is nothing I can do except wait for the water to go down, and unfortunately it is forecast to rain again tonight and on Wednesday. After that, hopefully we may have a few dry days. The allotment is also half under water, including the bed where the parsnips and some of the broccoli are. I can't get at it at all for now, so again I just have to wait. The tunnel is on dry land so the leeks are not flooded, but they are badly damaged by leek moth.
At least the water is confined to outdoors. I cannot imagine how awful it would be if the house was flooded.

Pen it must be frustrating and upsetting having your garden under water.

I was right about the weekend gardening - nothing got done. It was so wet and horrible outside that once I had dealt with my horse all I wanted to do was go indoors. I did scoop up 5 bucketfuls of water off the path outside the garage door as I was worried that if it got any deeper it would flood the garage. Walking about on any of the grass is out of the question at the moment, which means I have little access to most of the garden until the water level goes down.
