Big rearrangement of plants - courgettes and cucumbers to go to the greenhouse - done
Pot up french beans, lettuce, cosmos - no
Sow peas - done

Deadheading - done some
Finish front lawn edges - done
Prune minarette cherry - done
Watering - done
Harvest remaining overwintered spinach, salad leaves, check peas and strawberries - done
Also removed the kale, which had got so big it had fallen over, and trimmed long bits off the allotment hedge. Tried bottles of water laid on the soil to deter the cat (failed).
No gardening time today, although I need to take photos as it is 1st of June.Last edited by Penellype; 01-06-2023, 07:52 AM.

Monday jobs
Weeding and horsetail - done some
Deadheading - done some
Grass edges at allotment - done some
Front lawn edges - done some
Sow peas - no
Watering - done
Harvest baby lettuce, salad leaves, spinach, leek, strawberries and a couple of pods of peas - done
Also rigged up yet another cat barrier after lemon peel failed to stop the digging. I'm told clear plastic bottles of water laid on the soil deters cats so I am trying that next. Started carrying extra water to the allotment as I am going through the stored water frighteningly quickly and there is no rain on the horizon. Removed most of the bolted overwintered spinach and made soup out of the edible bits.
