Didn't get time to post today, but the job I wanted to get done was put the plastic cover over the hotbed, which has now heated to 25C. I got that done, moved some strawberry plants to the growhouse and also harvested a few small shoots of PSB.

Really too windy and showery (and rather cold) for outdoor gardening.

Tomorrow I have workmen putting up scaffolding as my solar panels are getting repaired this week. I may well have very little opportunity for gardening all week.

Yesterday I managed to get to the allotment and pulled a load more grass seedlings out of the hotbed. It was beginning to resemble a newly sown lawn - I have never had this problem before. No doubt there will be plenty more where that came from.

Solar panels are being sorted today and I am told it will take all day. As it is unpleasantly damp and drizzly out there, I wouldn't be gardening anyway.

The men still haven't finished fixing the solar, they are struggling to find the cause of the problem. I managed a quick visit to the allotment at lunchtime, met the new plot holder of the next door plot and planted 50 onion sets. I also pulled out a little grass from the hotbed, but it is growing faster than I can remove it at the moment.

No gardening time tomorrow.

Managed a little weeding (hotbed) today, sowed some early peas and harvested romanesco and carrot. Hopefully (weather permitting) I might get a chance to finish off weeding the hotbed tomorrow.
