Plans went pear-shaped because a man who came to estimate for bird mesh round the solar panels said he could do it today. As the pigeons (14 of them on the roof this morning) have been nesting under the panels, spraying my car, lawn and strawberries with eggshells and poo, I jumped at the chance and most of the gardening had to wait. I did manage to do a load of deadheading in the front garden while waiting.

Those pigeons nesting sounds terrible,hope the mesh can go up soon & end the problem….Its horrible having an expense to pay out that isn’t something you caused,shame they’re not designed so birds can’t nest by them,if they had little spikes outlining them or something…..

Thanks JJ. Thankfully the man has fixed mesh around the solar panels and also on the tv aerial, which was a convenient perch, overhanging the drive. I still have a large family of pigeons on the roof, but they can't get under the panels and hopefully they will move house soon when they realize there is no longer a sheltered nesting place.
