Yesterday I managed to spend about 10 minutes at the allotment during which I cleared a few leaves and harvested some romanesco and a parsnip, plus microgreens and a carrot from home.

Too cold for gardening today, but I did take the end of month photos as I won't have any gardening time tomorrow.

Everywhere is frozen at the moment so gardening is off the menu, although I did take the top net off the tunnel at the allotment as there is a possibility of snow tonight and I don't want the whole thing to collapse.

A bit of snow yesterday and a lot of rain today meant no gardening, and tomorrow looks a write-off too. Maybe Wednesday...

I managed to get to the allotment yesterday for about 5 minutes just before it got dark, to secure the rolled up tunnel net to the frame, as it is forecast to become windy tomorrow. When I took the net off it was literally frozen stiff so I couldn't roll it up tight, and I knew it could freeze again last night. The allotment was flooded again and will now be a frozen lake as it is currently -2 out there, so I suspect no gardening today.

I will definitely have no gardening time tomorrow, when in any case we are forecast yet more heavy rain.

I’ve got two more garlic varieties to plant out,planted three yesterday,our cat was about to use the spot,I said ‘no’ & he ran off,he wants his scent everywhere,so I covered the soil with bits of buddleia sticks I pruned off. I don’t mind as much if it’s an above ground crop but not on my garlic I put this new decorative light out there I got as a gift,it’s so pretty,it’s a watering can attached to a post with solar powered lights coming out like water

After yesterday's deluge the allotment and garden are again under water and there is no way I can do any gardening. I am unlikely to be able to do anything over the weekend either as more rain is forecast, but hopefully it will be a bit drier next week. Until then I will have to be content with harvesting carrots from the bucket in the garage and perhaps sowing some peas for pea shoots.

I was right about the weekend gardening - nothing got done. It was so wet and horrible outside that once I had dealt with my horse all I wanted to do was go indoors. I did scoop up 5 bucketfuls of water off the path outside the garage door as I was worried that if it got any deeper it would flood the garage. Walking about on any of the grass is out of the question at the moment, which means I have little access to most of the garden until the water level goes down.
