  • Edible hedging plants!

Here is my litle plot (The front half is mine)

What would you recommend for hedging the far left side? I need more shelter, as when the wind blows it often damages things. Yes my shed is a relic (She's going to blow away any day too!)

I'd like something edible, but nothing that goes too big! I don't want to cover my plot in shadow. Sun goes from bottom of picture to behind the houses on the leftish side of the sky...(If that makes sense)

Fruit like Raspberries or maybe currant bushes, apples, even on a dwarfing rootstock could take up a lot of water and nutrients from the surrounding ground. If you wanted something a bit bigger, Hazelnuts?

Cordon Gooseberries. They can be as high as you like and can be treated like a hedge and given a clip from time to time.
