  • Chard leaves looking yellow

One of my chard plants has yellow looking leaves, particularly the young leaves appearing and around the edges of more mature leaves. I fed the plant yesterday in case it is nutrient deficient, although I'm not convinced that is the cause, since neighbouring chard plants look ok.

Pic below, anyone know what might be causing this?

To be honest it looks alright to me. The plants should green up more with increased vigour as the weather warms but as it is I wouldn't be too concerned, just looks like tender young plants growing in coldish conditions

Just a thought, as the plants establish, if you fancy giving them a greening up boost feed with a high nitrogen source such as chicken manure pellets, nettle tea or farm yard manure.

Thank you for your comments. Over the last couple of days, besides the yellowing which hasn't got any worse, the plant is growing normally, so as suggested may be the cooler weather. I've given the plant a good feed just in case!
