  • What can i plant .

This may seem a daft question but after having a good tidy up today i now have a space roughly about the size of a pallet and I have no idea what to plant their .
The space was used years gone by as a basic compost heap before i got a purpose built one going .
I have cleared it today the soil underneath is full of well rotted stuff some straw is the only thing visible with bits of wood iit is damp .
Has anyanyone got any ideas what to plant to make use of this area

What do you like to eat, and what haveyou already got growing?

maybe a salad bed, with cut and come again salad leaves, lettuce, beetroot, radish?
a herb bed if it’s near the kitchen?
some oriental leaves for stir fries in the autumn(mustard, pak choi, mizuna etc)
or maybe some spring cabbages for the hungry season next year?

There’s always courgettes they’d appreciate growing where a compost bin used to be.
        Location....East Midlands.

Soft fruit is always my standby - hardly any looking after required and lots of berries to eat year after year - perfect for the lazy gardener - loganberry perhaps ?
