We all know that seed packet sowing dates aren't set in stone and quite often sowing things outside these parameters works wonders. So what will you be sowing from now to the end of the year for Autumn to Spring cropping?

Just received some Mooli seeds which along with the Spring Cabbage will be sown soon. After that the overwintering type of Japanese onion will be planted, both the red and the white. Before the end of the year the broadies may be sown also. I have PSB plants ready to pop in any spare spaces. My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Just some potatoes in the greenhouse or new cold frame if it's built in time, for Christmas dinner, but not yet, probably late August/ early September time. Winter cabbages are in, ditto Parsnips and Carrots, that'll be me for winter veg. I might try sowing my Onion seeds earlier than the usual Boxing Day this year, the Ailsa Craig are growing now, but seen rather small/late this year, so probably back to Mammoth seed next year.

Thanks Snadger and Burnie. You've reminded me I have some onion and broad bean seeds somewhere, that arrived too late to sow this year, I shall have a look and see if they can be sown later on. I too have some Spring Cabbages to sow. I might try some Savoys, but I don't expect they'd heart up now.

Spring cabbage sowed and already germinated
Brocolli doing well.
I need to buy some Japanese onion seed.
some winter lettuce waiting to go in as well.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Tatsoi
Choi sum
Gailan
Hungry gap kale
Winter lettuces
Rocket
Onions
Some other overwintering brassicas
Some flowers

Parsley.
That's all getting sown between now and end of aug with the aim of growing it all in my tunnel.Last edited by SimpleSimon; 23-07-2020, 06:54 AM.

I will be sowing spring cabbage, florence fennel and salad leaves in August, and cauliflowers for overwintering in September, along with possibly more salad leaves/winter lettuce. After that it is just indoor things such as microgreens, lettuces for the grow light garden and pea shoots.Last edited by Penellype; 23-07-2020, 08:06 AM.A life is like a garden.
