  • Anyone got pumpkins

My three pumpkin plants have gone ballistic. Huge amount of leaves and male flowers.
    Cant see any actual pumpkins.
    Anyone had similar problems.

    Thanks Jimmy
Expect the worst in life and you will probably have under estimated!

Low temperatures can cause a lack of female flower production, but it's also quite possible you just can't seem them very well under the mass of leaves.
As for lack of fruit, assuming there are female flowers, lack of pollination is probably the answer. Honey bees love squash and pumpkin flowers, but I find they are not actually very good at pollinating them, so hand pollination is usually best. Find a male flower which still has pollen on it, pick it, remove all the petals, then rub the pollen into the stigma of an open female flower.
