What a beautiful website, house, garden, life you are living. I shall enjoy taking my time to explore it all.Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

Nice looking garlic mhrfm. The rounds (which didn't split into cloves) can be planted for next year and will probably make extra large bulbs. Also will you be using some of the biggest cloves to re-plant. That way your crop should start to become acclimatised to your locality, ours is currently 4th generation.Location ... Nottingham

I always save garlic to grow next year too as Mr Bones suggested
I was always told runner beans were the same - you'd end up with locally acclimatised seed (as you select the strongest seeds to keep for next year)Shortie

Yes, I was considering using the cloves again, but wasn’t sure whether I could. Based on your comment I definitely will.
This year they’ll go into my raised beds, which won’t be alkaline. Will that be a problem?
