Today I harvested 2021

  • Almost all my cauliflowers. They were starting to go over so had no choice. Will need to use what I can and freeze the rest. Picked cavolo nero for dinner.

                  Sowed them at the wrong time, probably.
                  Some varieties can be sown around March for a June picking, all others need sowing no earlier than early July, for a late summer/autumn picking (they'll stand over winter in the ground, too).
                  They can also bolt if you are growing them too close together. They don't need huge spacing, though. 2-3 inches or so is usually enough.
