Agree, we buy them when available, sometimes sold out by the time we remember!

Agree with Penellype, Lady Christl no contest, but couldn't get any this year all sold out pre-Christmas! Trying Maris Bard for a change. Maris Peer were nice as the Christmas spuds

I agree about the taste of Lady Christyl but couldn’t find them anywhere this year so ended up with Arran Pilot.
Last year I was disappointed with Casablanca - poor yield and not a decent “new potato” taste. Picasso Star were OK on taste but Lady C the best by far.

Went to my local garden centre to buy my seed potatoes today, and they did have Lady Crystl but they had sadly sold out, and said they wouldn't be getting any more stock.
I got 6 Swift and 12 Charlotte in the end. I plan to buy maincrop, too, but I'll be getting those in Wilko (a 1.5kg sack of Rooster).

Going spud shopping tomorrow. Fingers crossed we get LC. Not sure what they'll have although the chap I spoke to on the phone said they had Charlotte - I prefer Nicola, but whether they have them...

This could be interesting up until two weeks back left overs left in the ground from last years King Edwards were still growing, a frost knocked them down overnight awaiting new growth

                  No Lady Chrystl

Got some Pentland Javelin and Nicola.

Gonna also try (if they turn up in tomorrows shopping) some Ruby Gem red salad spuds. I know you're not supposed to because of the risk of spreading disease/virus, but have done it before, so fingers crossed.
