How are your xmas veg doing?

I'm not convinced I will be eating my own this year... they are in an unheated greenhouse. The carrots are very leafy but not much underneath yet, and the potatoes are about a foot high. I don't think they will be ready. Maybe they will for easter?!

i'm having carrots and parsnips and beetroot and if i'm really lucky some of my caulis may stay white ....... i've still got tatties, so looks like i'm having a stew

Parsnips - great - just started eating them. Haven't tried my Jerusalems yet. There'll be red cabbage (hearted up well ) with onion and apple, casseroled with stock. Spuds will be bought - I only grow new potates. Probably a bit of chard for the colour and no doubt some beans from the freezer.

My potatoes MIGHT be ready, cabbage not hearted up, late sown carrots teeny, same with late chard, radishes and leeks will be ok, Kale will be good too.

Oh, I got lots to come, if only it was dry enough to get up there. Leeks, red cabbage, 3 types of kale, 3 types of carrot, sprouts perhaps, chard, beetroot ... and some onions and squash in the shed.

I should have cabbages, kale, red sprouts, leeks, & swedes.
My stored potatoes are all gone now, and I didn't sow any late ones as I've never had them survive til Christmas - it's too cold here without heating the greenhouse - cheaper to buy them from the Farm Shop!!

I shall have the one leek that finally grew as well as the 3 parsnips I left in my soil. I do have some spuds left, as well as onions and squashes. There are also beans in my freezer I think. All of that with free (ish) range chicken and duck from some friends. Wont have it till the 29th but will be my xmas dinner, and pretty much all home or locally grown and raised. Sadly though, I shall be cooking it which may not help matters.

We are away over Chrimbo so shall not be eating my veggies, but my Chrimbo boxes will have Savoy or Green Cabbages, King Edward potatoes, Carrots, Onions, Green Curly Kale, Sprouts (on the stalk), Parsnips and Swede in them.
Other goodies on offer will be chard, spinach, lettuce, mixed salad leaves, raddichio and milan turnips.

Got 2 sprout stems, but the sprouts are only giant pea sized
A pile of leeks
Carrots stored in sand
Only a couple of spuds left which wont be enough.
Lots of small beetroot and curly kale and red and white onions and shallots.

Didn't know where we'd be for Xmas and how many we'd be feeding so didn't really grow especially for Xmas this year.

Lovely idea though!

I've got onions, leeks, cabbage, sprouts, kale, chard, Jerusalem artichokes, spinach and lettuce. And beans, peas, fennel, peppers , tomatoes, cauliflower ,chillies and a few of my own potatoes for roasting in the freezer so I should be able to rustle something up for Christmas.

all i've got left in the ground is leeks and a few cabbages still got loads of onions and spuds left and not forgetting the freezer full of beans and broccoli. i spent ages blanching and freezing due to the glut, we were sick of seeing and eating broccoli and beans, so haven't touched the frozen ones yet.
