Just as a side issue, as I started typing this post approx 20 geese flew over in V formation, low level just above the roof tops.
Heralded by their unmistakable honking.
A nice early morning sight.
Anyway back to the topic....
I grow courgettes, mainly yellow but the odd green plant for variety.
Occasionally one of the crafty green devils grows under a leaf where it's not in plain sight.
It manages to turn into a marrow before I spot it.
Normally it's destined for the compost heap.
I hate waste so with the last one I though what can I use it for.
Looking around I had to hand and onion some garlic cherry toms, masses of sage and and old sliced brown loaf.
In a blender 4 slices of bread from the loaf, garlic chopped onion salt and pepper. Blitzed to breadcrumbs.
Halved the marrow and scooped out the seeds.
Mixed in cherry toms with breadcrumbs and packed both halves till full.
Splash of olive oil and into oven at 180 deg C for 45 mins.
Topped with grated cheese and under grill for a few mins till bubbly.
Yum yum. Must grow some more marrows!
Jimmy
