Courgettes rotting.

Can anyone tell me why my courgettes are rotting from the flower down. They get to about 3 inches long then just start to rot.

Lack of sufficient pollination. If they don't pollinate properly they will grow a little, then stop and start rotting, and the rot always starts from the blossom end.
I would advise hand pollination.
