  • Wanna see a tomato root?

    Surprisingly extensive root system on our tomatoes. There were also a couple more big branches that didn't come away.

    From our greenhouse bed, which is a very light mixture. Gardeners' Delight variety. They weren't earning their keep any more.

    can you dry it out,it will make a nice santa's beard for the upcoming events at the gardeners rest ,sorry could not resist that,it was a good root

      QW it surprised me the first year growing toms to see just how long those root are.
      Location....East Midlands.

        That's my point. Worth keeping in mind when making pot, grow bags, or beds decision.

          I agree with you there QW, when you pull up toms those roots just keep on coming.
