Overwinter chilli plants in the loft.

Will this work? I mean it's frost free but it's also light free. I don't really have space for the ones I want to save in the house. I do however have a massive and mostly empty loft. I could possibly rig up a grow light for a small part of the day if needed. Say 6 hrs. Might get the police knocking on my door mind .

I do not think the extra humidity will help your loft space-------Personally, I wouldn't do it. Plenty of reasons why not, but none for.

I think it could work. The biggest problem would be watering. You're still going to need to water them every couple weeks or so.

If your loft is frost free when outside is below 0°C then you may not have enough insulation.
Just a thought - open to alternative views

Have you cut them down because you could also trim the roots put them in smaller pots,will they fit on the windowsill?
