ID:	2540423 Mini cucumber, sown 9th January, planted out into greenhouse bed a week ago.

    Noticed this damage this morning.
    Don't want it to get any worse.

    Any ideas?

        Oh dear. I don't mind nixing slugs but would have issues with being nasty to mice.

          I'd say it's probably a tiny slug or snail. If it were a mouse one would expect to see tooth marks.

            My guess , from the irregular shape , is earwig damage.
            My father had problems with them in his greenhouse many moons ago

              Interesting. I didn't know they were even a problem, apart from being worried as a kid they would crawl into my ear and eat my brain (so my big sister told me}

              Looked around a bit and I think we might have been having problems with them more widely.
