Peas - cross pollination?

Evening all,

I'm growing some Kelvedon Wonder peas but I also found some unidentified peas in my late uncle's shed. I'd like to grow these and save seed to be able to grow them again - but will they cross pollinate if I grow them close to the KW?

In theory they could cross, however in practice it is very unlikely. Peas are not only self-setting but usually actually pollinate themselves before the flowers even fully open, so chances are very good that they will come true.

That’s reassuring. I am growing two different types of peas next to each other this year and hadn’t considered cross pollination as a potential issue.
