Could i grow lettuce on wall planters

Would lettuce in wall planters work along this alleyway or is it to shady ? We get a tiny amount of sun as it passes in the morning but that's all.

Probably the best thing to do is try it and see. If you can find a winter variety of lettuce, they do better at lower light levels and might be ok. You will probably find that red leaf varieties come out green as they need light for the red pigment so I would try a green one. Good luck.

Loose-leaf lettuce should grow fine there, as long as you keep it well watered.
Lettuces are unlikely to make hearts in the shade like that, though.
